What is the purpose of this service?
The College of Agricultural & Life Sciences would like to communicate effectively and efficiently with students about events important to everyone.
How many text messages will I receive?
CALS will send a MAXIMUM of 3 Text Messages per month
- Standard text messaging rates will apply! If you have to pay for text messages received, please take this into account when signing up for this service.
What will the subject of the text messages be?
Messages will be comprised of mostly reminders.
- EXAMPLE: Don’t forget to come to the Career Fair in the SUB Ballroom today between 10-3.
How do I sign up?
To sign up, you will need to enter your name, email and cell phone number
- To sign up, go to: http://www.ag.uidaho.edu/textme/login.asp
and enter the information you received via email.
- Enter your first name, last name, cell phone number, and select your cell carrier from the list. (If your carrier is not listed, we cannot provide this service for you at this time).
- Once you hit the Submit button, you will begin receiving texts!
What if I want to DISCONTINUE this service?
To sign out or “OPT OUT” of this service (which you can do at ANY time), email Kim Nelson at kanelson@uidaho.edu. You will be removed from the list immediately.
Why should I sign up?
These text messages will communicate specific events, deadlines, or notifications. Often times, students find themselves checking their email late at night, only to receive a reminder of an event that occurred on campus earlier that day. By signing up for this service, you will be notified right away!
