University, Raleigh, NC; B.S. in Environmental Science,
Auburn University, Auburn, AL
Research:
The focus of my research program is to conduct research in
the areas of nutrient management, waste management, and
water quality, with the goal of finding farming methods that
will maximize yields and economic gains for Idaho growers
while minimizing adverse environmental impacts.
Specific projects include:
1.)
determining nitrogen recovery and yield impacts of dairy
manure application to potatoes, 2.) comparing
phosphorous and nitrogen concentrations in runoff from
manured and non-manured fields, and 3.) evaluating the
effects of strip tillage in sugarbeets on nitrogen
mineralization.
