Research:
Conducts research on the influence of wind-blown materials on distribution, properties, and classification of Idaho soils. Evaluates the influence of volcanic ash in soils of northern and central Idaho and wind-deposited soil parent materials of the Palouse region and upper Snake River Plain. Examines the influence of buried soils (paleosols) and hardpans on hydrological and geochemical processes

Introductory soils, Use and abuse of land resources, soil development and classification, soil mineralogy, soil and site evaluation
