Research: Conducts research in plant-insect interactions, host-plant resistance, and insect pollination of allogamous plant species in the USDA-ARS gene bank in Pullman, Washington.  Fungal endophytes of temperate grasses are a major interest, especially their role in mediating grass-insect interactions.
