Research:
Conducts research in Integrated Pest Management and biological control, with a commodity responsibility for potatoes and cereal. Interests include the implementation of biological control as part of an IPM program in the potato crop in Idaho, the evaluation of weeds as potential inoculum sources for aphid-mediated transmission of viruses, and the optimization of insecticide applications to reduce virus transmission in the field. Also working in the biological control project of cereal pests in Idaho. Currently using molecular tools in my research and have a laboratory equipped for this work

Extension:
Provide extension/outreach IPM programs, technical support, and educational materials that increase the working knowledge of county educators, crop advisors, and other agricultural clientele
