Program Areas:  CROPPING SYSTEMS
FERTILITY
IRRIGATION MANAGEMENT

Areas of Expertise
Develops improved irrigation and fertilizer management practices for potatoes and small grains. Determines effects of crop sequences, cover crops, fertilizer, and irrigation management practices on nitrogen use efficiency, nitrate leaching, and plant nitrogen availability. Evaluates effectiveness of variable-rate irrigation and fertilizer application control systems for improving water and fertilizer use efficiency.
