Conducts research on diseases of vegetable, seed, and fruit crops with emphasis on sweet corn seedborne pathogens and seedling diseases, diseases of onion bulb and seed crops, potato diseases, and fire blight of apple.

Develops and implements plant pathology extension programs in southwest Idaho for field, nursery, landscape, and home garden crops.
