My research focuses on the development of electronic chip based biosensors. Two areas are under investigation. One is the
development of nano-transistor based biosensors. A set of nano-transistors were fabricated from 30 nm to 100 nm. A universal
molecular signal generation process was developed to achieve highly sensitive, rapid and accurate detection. The other is the
development of an optical nano-structure to report biological events. This nano-structure will be tested on a CMOS imaging chip
provided by Micron. Besides these two areas, we are also working on the generation of aptamers against Staphylococcus aureus
fibernectin binding protein by using SELEX technology.
