Economic thresholds generally do not
exist for plant pathogens and nematodes in Idaho field and row crops.
The following table instead lists pesticide application timing recommendations
for disease and nematode management.

White Mold - Sclerotinia
Rot
(Sclerotinia sclerotioru) |
Fungicides |
Apply fungicides if the
field has a history of white mold and if rows are expected to close
by early bloom; one application when all plants have one open blossom
significantly reduces disease and increases yield. |

Timing

Gray mold
(Botrytis cinerea)
|
Ronilan DF fungicide at 1 lb/A in a minimum of 40 gal/A.
|
Apply Ronilan DF fungicide first at 10% full bloom and again at
7 to 21 days later.
|
 |
Rust
(Uromyces appendiculatus)
|
Sulfur products (325 mesh or finer) containing at least 80% sulfur
at 20 to 40 lbs ai/A, depending on plant size.
|
Apply sulfur products first as soon as lesions or spots appear.

White Mold - Sclerotinia Rot
(Sclerotinia sclerotiorum)
|
Fungicides
|
In fields with a history of white mold, apply fungicides when 1%
to 10% of the plants have at least one open bloom; a second application
may be necessary when disease
