PROFILE

Degrees:

Ph.D., Toxicology
University of Idaho, 1984

M.S., Toxicology
Oregon State University, 1978

B.S., Zoology
Oregon State University, 1971

Research Interests:

Research interests include the effects of natural and synthetic chemicals on immune function (immunotoxicology) and the role of the immune system in prevention and treatment of cancer (immunotherapy).

Current interests are directed to the mechanisms of action of naturally occurring carcinogens and anticarcinogens in foods, especially as related to immune function, age and obesity.

Extension Activities:

Chemical Food Safety
