STRONG INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The dairy program provides excellent instruction in principles of Dairy Science using not only classroom instruction, but also hands-on training with exposure to a wide variety of field experiences:

Short-Term Internship Program
(1 to 2 Weeks)
exposure to modern dairy facilities and allied dairy industry exposure to various dairy management strategies and practices visiting with representatives of feed and artificial insemination artificial insemination companies, and other allied industries working with veterinarians.

Long-Term Internship Program
(Summer or a Semester Long)
provide a real work setting for the translation of theory into practice
obtain credit for valuable work experience in progressive dairy farms and allied industry.

Cooperative University Dairy Students
(CUDS)
member of management team interactive with many dairy producers
provide on-the-job training develop the ethical standards common to the profession improve problem-solving skills.
