Symantec AntiVirus Scheduling Updates
For extra security and protection, automatically schedule updates with Symantec. It will update virus definitions and antivirus software daily (recommended), weekly, or monthly to keep your PC safer.

1. Double click on the Symantec yellow "shield" icon in the taskbar system tray. This will be located in the lower right corner of your screen (shown below). Alternatively, click Start > All Programs > Symantec Client Security > Symantec AntiVirus.
2. When Symantec AntiVirus opens, click File > Schedule on the menu bar.
3. If the "Enable scheduled automatic updates" box is already checked, you should be receiving automatic updates from Symantec. If not, check the box to enable updates.
4. Click the Schedule button to change scheduling settings (daily, weekly, etc.) It is recommend that you choose daily to receive the latest virus definitions everyday.
5. Click OK, then OK, then Exit.
