Resizing Images in PowerPoint
Is your PowerPoint image too large? If so, follow the directions below to resize your image into a smaller, manageable file. For more tutorials on Microsoft PowerPoint, visit the Center for Teaching Innovation.

1. Open Microsoft PowerPoint if it isn't already open. Insert an image into your presentation by clicking Insert > Picture > From File... in the top menu.
2. Click anywhere on the image. You will know you have clicked it when you see the Picture toolbox (shown below).
3. To resize the image, click on the white dot in the bottom right corner of the image and drag it up in a diagonal position. Alternatively, you can click Format Picture on the Picture toolbox. A new dialog box will appear. Click the Size tab and insert the new dimensions you require. Click OK.
4. Your image should be resized similar to the image below.
