Set up Pegasus to send old email after converting to Exchange

A few extra steps need to happen to allow for Pegasus mail to still use the distribution lists and send old email from Pegasus. For more information or to download the program, visit the Pegasus Mail web site.

1. Start Pegasus

2. Click on Tools menu and Internet Options

3. Click on "Receiving (POP3) Tab

4. Select "pop.uidaho.edu" or "UI" or "Default" with your mouse in the
"Check these POP3 host for mail" section

5.Click on the "Remove" button to stop incoming email to Pegasus

6. Click on the "Sending (SMTP)" tab

7. Select "smtp.uidaho.edu" in the "Send mail using these SMTP hosts"
section

8. Click on the "Edit" button. The "Settings for sending mail (SMTP)"
window will appear

9. Type: "mail.uidaho.edu" (without quotes) in "Server host name:" field
of the "General settings for sending mail via SMTP" section

10. Click on the "Security" for "Settings for sending mail (SMTP)"
window

11 . Select "Via STARTTLS" radio button in the "Use SSL/TLS security on
this connection - "

12. Check the "Login to the SMTP server using the following details:" in
the "SMTP Authentication" section

13. Type your current email username and password in the "Username:" and
"Password:" fields

14. Click on the "OK" button
