On-Campus
On-campus support includes technical computer and network support.
Usually CALS Computing Services in Moscow (CCS Moscow) is the first contact when
someone experiences a computer problem on campus in the College
of Agricultural & Life Sciences, unless there is a first-level
computer support person in the department. Resolution of
problems may involve any combination of CCS Moscow, local
vendors, mail-order vendors, the ITS Help Desk, the ITS Networks and Systems personnel. Support specialties include network software and configuration, email problem resolution, computer account maintenance, College of Agricultural & Life Sciences email address books, software installation and upgrades, and new computer pricing and installation. Limited support is provided for out-of-warranty hardware problems and upgrades—local vendors can provide that service. CCS Moscow will work with Dell technical support to resolve hardware issues with their computers. Hardware problems with local-brand computers will be referred to the local business. Hardware problems with other brands are the responsibility of the user.
