Please note that the University of Idaho residence halls are not a hotel and do not offer many of the amenities available in a full service hotel. The following are items to consider when deciding if the residence hall facilities are for you, and if so, what features you may want:

  • During your stay you will receive one linen pack (consisting of a light blanket, pillow, pillow case, sheet, one towel, and one washcloth) for the entire conference. No maid service will be provided. You should bring toiletries.

  • Participants residing in the Living Learning Community buildings will need to supply their own cooking/eating utensils if they would like to utilize the kitchen/dining facilities.

  • The residence hall rooms are set up as is. No support is available for moving or breaking down bunk beds or moving other furniture.

  • All of the rooms are within walking distance of convenience stores for small purchases of snacks and toiletry items, and vending machines are located throughout the residence halls.

  • Most conference meals are included in the conference registration fee. For meals that are not included dining service is available at the Wallace Food Court Cafeteria, Commons Food Court Cafeteria, or several local restaurants. Participants staying in the LLC buildings have the option of preparing their own meals in the buildings kitchens but they must supply their own cooking/eating utensils and food.

  • All of the University of Idaho residence halls have laundry facilities located in the buildings and each building features at least one coin operated washer and dryer.

The University of Idaho campus also features coffee shops, delis, a campus bookstore and a new state of the art Student Recreation Center. Participants wanting to use the Student Recreation Center must be at least 18 years old; sign the appropriate waiver forms, and purchase a guest pass. Please keep in mind that the hours of these campus entities vary by the school term and may or may not be open during your stay.
