MS in Ag Econ - Theses
Procedures and forms for completing and submitting theses are available at www.uidaho.edu/cogs.  Faculty and graduate students should become familiar with these procedures and forms since it is their responsibility to make sure they are properly filled out and submitted by the appropriate deadline.

Responsibilities for Production of Thesis

The responsibility for typing, compiling and binding the thesis, plus submitting everything to the Graduate College is the responsibility of the graduate student. The department’s administrative assistants should not be asked to assume this responsibility. Administrative assistants can assist in developing journal articles or bulletins from the research, but should not be asked to convert these materials into a thesis format.

If the thesis is comprised of 2-3 separate articles, the articles must be in thesis format and printed on bond paper. It is not permissible to insert a journal article reprint or Experiment Station Bulletin into the thesis.

Responsibility for Printing and Binding

Graduate students are responsible for paying for the printing and binding of a thesis. They are required to submit two bound copies to the Graduate College and one copy to the Department. They may provide committee members with a bound copy if desired.

Faculty members are encouraged to include all printing and binding costs in their grants. If the assistantship is not grant funded, faculty members may pay for the printing and binding costs out of their Hatch funds. The graduate student should be aware of these arrangements before starting their research.
